Setup is $35. We configure automatic backups of the files that matter, documents, photos, records, so they copy themselves without you having to remember. We can set up a local backup to an external drive, a cloud backup that protects you even if the house floods or the computer is stolen, or both. We'll walk you through which makes sense for your situation.

How is this different from drive cloning?
Backup is ongoing protection, it keeps copying your files over time so a failure or theft doesn't wipe out your data. Cloning makes a one-time bootable copy of your whole system for moving to a new drive. Most people want backup for day-to-day file protection; cloning is for upgrades.
Local backup or cloud backup - which do I need?
Local is fast and cheap and great for quick recovery, but it's in the same house as your computer. Cloud protects you even if the place floods, burns, or the computer is stolen. For irreplaceable files, both is the safest bet. We'll help you decide.
Do I have to remember to run it?
No, that's the whole point. We set it to run automatically on a schedule. Once it's configured, it backs up in the background and you don't have to think about it.
What does the $35 cover?
The setup and configuration of your automatic backup. If you go with a local backup, you'll need an external drive, we can source one or you can supply it. Cloud storage may have its own subscription depending on the service and how much you're storing.
I already lost a drive once. Can you still help?
We can get you protected going forward so it never happens again. If you've already lost data and need recovery, tell us when you come in, that's a separate job, and how recoverable it is depends on the drive. Setup itself is same day.
