Labor starts at $50, plus the part. HDMI ports are the most common job, the port itself is cheap, but it's a fine-pitch solder repair on the board, so the labor is where the work is. Thermal cleanings, fan swaps, and disc drive belts run on the lower end. We quote the exact total before we touch anything.
For overheating consoles we open it up, clear the dust out of the heatsink, and replace the dried-out thermal paste, that alone fixes most Series X and One X shutdowns. HDMI ports we reflow or replace at the board level. Disc drives we'll diagnose first; sometimes it's a $15 belt, sometimes the whole drive is shot and not worth it on an older One. We'll tell you straight which one it is.
Microsoft's out-of-warranty fix is a flat fee plus shipping both ways, and they usually just send you a refurb. We fix your actual console, keep your storage, and you don't mail it across the country.

How long does an Xbox repair take?
Most repairs run 2-3 days. HDMI port replacements take longer than a thermal cleaning because it's a board-level solder job, but we'll give you a realistic timeframe when you drop it off.
My Xbox overheats and shuts off. Can you fix it?
Usually yes. That's almost always dust packed in the heatsink plus old, dried thermal paste. We clean it out and re-paste the chip, which fixes most Series X and One X shutdowns. We test it under load before you pick it up.
Is fixing an old Xbox One even worth it?
Depends on the repair. A $50-ish thermal service or controller fix on a One X is worth it. A full disc drive replacement on an original One often isn't, we'll tell you honestly if you're better off putting the money toward a newer console.
Do you replace HDMI ports?
Yes. The loose or snapped HDMI port is one of our most common Xbox jobs. We replace it at the board level. Text us a photo of the port and we'll quote the total.
Will I lose my games or saved data?
No. We don't wipe your storage for a hardware repair. Your games, saves, and account stay on the console.
