My PC fails the Windows 11 check. Does that mean I need a new computer?
Usually not. A lot of machines fail only because TPM is sitting disabled in the BIOS, we turn it on and the check passes. Where the blocker is real, there are clean ways around it. The only time we'd tell you to replace the PC is when it's genuinely too old and slow to run 11 well, and we'll say so honestly instead of taking your $50.
Will I lose my files and programs upgrading to 11?
No. We migrate everything, files, programs, settings, so you boot into Windows 11 with your stuff right where you left it. We don't wipe the machine to do an upgrade.
Why does the Windows 10 end-of-support thing matter?
Once Microsoft stops supporting Windows 10, it stops getting security updates. Any new vulnerability found after that stays unpatched on your machine, which makes it a bigger target over time. Moving to 11 keeps you on a version that's still getting fixed.
Is the upgrade worth it on an older PC?
Depends on the machine. If it's solid hardware that just trips the compatibility check, it's an easy yes. If it's already slow and aging, 11 won't help and might make it feel worse, we'll tell you that up front rather than upgrade something you'd be better off replacing.
