About Our Soldering & Board-Level Repair
Most repair shops will tell you "the board is bad, replace the device." We will look at the board first. Cracked traces, blown capacitors, bad charging ICs, broken HDMI ports, lifted pads, most board-level damage is repairable if you have the right rig.

What we work on: phone charging ICs, microphone/speaker board-level fixes, broken Lightning/USB-C ports, console HDMI ports (PS5, Xbox), PC motherboard trace repairs, capacitor replacements, BGA reballing on smaller chips, lifted pad reconstruction, water-damage corrosion cleanup.
What we do not work on: full BGA chip swaps on CPUs/GPUs (need specialty industrial reflow), and irreparably water-damaged boards where corrosion has eaten too many traces.
If your favorite repair shop told you "motherboard is bad, buy a new device," bring it to us. We have saved a lot of devices that someone else gave up on.

What is board-level repair?
Repairing the motherboard or logic board itself, not just swapping easy parts. Resoldering pins, replacing tiny chips, fixing cracked traces, cleaning up corrosion. Requires a microscope and hot air rework station, most shops do not have or use this gear.
How much does it cost?
$100/hr, our specialty soldering rate. Most board-level jobs run 1–3 hours of bench time. Common jobs (HDMI port, charging IC) typically $100–$200 total. Complex water-damage recovery can run $200–$400+.
How long does it take?
Quoted after diagnostic. Typical jobs 2–5 days because we want to test the repair under load before returning. Water damage recovery may take longer.
What if you cannot fix it?
You only pay for the diagnostic time we spent, typically $50–$100 in scope and probe time. We will not pad the bill or attempt a repair we know will not work.
Can you do hobbyist / non-repair soldering work?
Yes, we do guitar pedal repairs, ham radio mods, custom keyboard builds, retro console mods. Same $100/hr rate. Bring it in or send a photo of what you need done.
