This is hourly at $75/hr, and here's how we keep that honest: we diagnose first. We figure out what's actually broken, a permissions problem, a missing or corrupt DLL, two apps stepping on each other, a bad install left behind by the last one, and then we tell you the likely cost before we run up the clock. No surprise bill. You decide whether to go ahead.
What we don't do is shrug and tell you to reinstall Windows. That's the answer you get when somebody doesn't want to actually look. We trace the error to its source, event logs, dependencies, conflicts, permissions, and fix that specific thing. If a problem genuinely isn't worth the hours to chase versus a quick reinstall of one program, we'll tell you that too. Work is covered by our 30-day warranty.

Because we diagnose before we start charging into the work. We find what's actually wrong, then tell you the likely cost so you can decide. Most software problems are one specific thing and don't take long once we know where to look. You won't get a surprise bill.
Because that's the lazy answer and it costs you all your programs and settings to fix one broken app. We trace the actual cause, a permissions issue, a bad DLL, a conflict, and fix that. The only time we'd suggest a reinstall is if chasing it down would genuinely cost you more than starting that one program fresh, and we'd tell you that openly.

Often, yes, a lot of activation failures come down to a corrupt install, a permissions block, or leftover files from a previous version. We sort out what's stopping it. If it turns out to be something only the software vendor can reset, we'll tell you that instead of charging you to spin our wheels.
