The PS5 HDMI port is the single most-failed component on the console. The pins are tiny, the port sticks out from the motherboard, and any sideways stress on the cable bends or breaks the pins. Once it goes, no signal, no matter what HDMI cable or TV you try.
Sony does not officially repair PS5 HDMI ports, they replace the entire console for $250–$400 plus a 2–3 week wait. We desolder the broken port and solder in a new one right on the motherboard, in our shop, with our soldering rig.
Heads up: most PS5s coming in for HDMI work also need a thermal repaste while we have them open ($25 add-on). We will tell you before adding it to the bill.
Sony quote: $250 + tax, mail-in, 2–3 weeks. Our quote: $125 in our Highland shop, 2–3 days, with a 30-day warranty.
Bring it in for a free check. We confirm it is the HDMI port (not cable, TV, or motherboard) before quoting work.

$125 flat, includes the replacement port. About half what Sony or big repair chains charge. If your console also needs a thermal repaste while open, that is an extra $25, we tell you before adding it.
2–3 days typical. Actual repair is about 2 hours of bench time, but we let the console sit on stress-test cycles for 24 hours after to confirm the repair holds.
Yes, we do not touch the storage. Installed games, save data, and PSN account stay intact.
If diagnostic shows the issue is APU/GPU related instead, we will tell you. Those are board-level repairs at $100/hr, we will quote before any work continues.
Yes, never plug/unplug the HDMI cable while the console is on, do not let kids yank cables, and use a 90-degree adapter if your TV setup puts stress on the cable.
Stop by our Highland Square Shopping Center location or send us a photo of the issue for a fast, upfront estimate.
