Labor starts at $50 plus the part. The screaming-fan and overheating jobs are the big ones on PS5, we open it up, clean the heatsink, and redo the thermal interface. The PS5 uses liquid metal on the chip, not regular paste, so it has to be cleaned and reapplied carefully without letting it bridge anything. That's exactly the kind of work Sony tells you not to do at home. HDMI ports are a board-level solder repair; we quote the full total before starting.
Disc drive problems we diagnose first, a self-ejecting drive is sometimes a sensor or worn gear, not the whole unit. Power supply failures and the no-power PS4/PS5 are common and usually fixable. On older PS3s we do what we can, but parts are getting scarce, so we'll be upfront if it's not worth the spend.
Sony's repair path means boxing up your console, mailing it off, and waiting a couple weeks for a flat-rate fee, often on a refurb, not your unit. We fix your actual PlayStation here, liquid metal and all, in a couple days.

How long does a PlayStation repair take?
Most repairs are 2-3 days. HDMI port and disc drive jobs can take longer than a fan cleaning. We'll give you a realistic timeframe at drop-off.
My PS5 fans are extremely loud. What's wrong?
Almost always dust buildup and degraded thermal interface. We clean the heatsink and reapply the liquid metal the PS5 uses on its chip. Done right, it runs quiet and cool again. We test it under load before you pick it up.
Sony said they won't open my console. Can you?

Do you fix PS3s?
On a limited basis. We'll do what we can, but PS3 parts are getting hard to find, so for some repairs it's not worth the cost. Text us what it's doing and we'll tell you honestly whether it's worth fixing.
