Will a tune-up actually speed up an old PC, or am I just delaying a new one?
On a five-year-old machine, usually yes. Most slowdowns are buildup, a messy Windows install, and outdated drivers, not the hardware giving out. We fix that for $50 and the difference is real. If the slowness is actually a failing drive or not enough RAM, we'll tell you straight and quote the part before we do anything.
Do you wipe my computer or reinstall Windows?
No. A tune-up keeps everything, your files, programs, and settings stay put. Reinstalling Windows to fix slowness is the lazy fix and it costs you all your stuff. We repair the install instead.
How is this different from your Windows Optimization service?
Optimization is focused on startup and boot, trimming bloat and the junk that launches at login. The tune-up is broader: cleanup, Windows repair, drivers, and a full health check. If your main complaint is a slow boot and a cluttered startup, ask about Optimization. If the whole machine feels slow, the tune-up is the one.
How long does it take?
Most tune-ups are same-day. Drop it off at Highland Square and a lot of the time you'll have it back that afternoon. If we find something that needs a part, that can add time and we'll let you know.
What if the tune-up doesn't fix it?
Then it wasn't a tune-up problem, and we'll have found the real cause while we were in there, a dying drive, low RAM, a failing fan. You'll get an honest read and a price before we go further. The work we do is covered by a 30-day warranty.
