Same Day
Computer asks you to set the date and time every time you turn it on? Losing your BIOS settings? Wi-Fi password resetting itself? You probably have a dead CMOS battery, the small coin cell on your motherboard that keeps your clock and BIOS settings alive when the PC is unplugged.
The CMOS battery is a CR2032 coin cell on your motherboard. Lasts 3–5 years before needing replacement. Symptoms: clock resetting after every shutdown, BIOS settings going back to defaults, "CMOS Checksum Error" on boot, or boot device order resetting.
$10 total, that is the battery itself plus the 5 minutes of labor to swap it. Bring your PC in or drop the tower off and we will have it back in your hands the same day.
$10 to fix a problem most people do not even know they have. If your PC nags you about the date and time on every boot, that battery is dead, do not let it bother you for years.
Bring in your tower or laptop. $10 cash and 5 minutes, done while you wait.

Because it is genuinely a 5-minute job. The battery costs us $2, takes 30 seconds to swap, and 4 minutes to verify. We charge what is fair, not what we could get away with.
No. CMOS only holds your clock and BIOS settings, never your files, programs, or operating system. Worst case, we reset BIOS to defaults; we will help reconfigure boot order if needed.
3–5 years typically, sometimes longer. CMOS batteries are very low-drain, so a quality CR2032 lasts a long time.
If comfortable opening the PC: yes, CR2032 batteries are sold at any drugstore for $2–3. The battery is on the motherboard, usually flat with a clip. Be aware that BIOS will reset to defaults.
Yes, most laptops have it accessible from the bottom panel or behind the keyboard. Some require deeper disassembly. Walk-in laptop CMOS replacements run $10 if quick, up to $35 if deeper teardown is needed.
