Data Transfers, Clones & Backups

Clones: we'll make every effort to clone your data. In some circumstances we cannot guarantee a perfect clone — in that case you'll receive an autobackup.

Auto Backup: includes files (documents, pictures, etc.), not programs. We may, at our discretion, install some of the programs you had.

Data Guarantee: as long as the drive isn't defective, we'll do everything we can to keep your data intact. We can't guarantee it in cases of failing drives, corruption, or other unforeseen issues. You agree to hold us harmless.

Apple Serialization Notice

Twomey PC Repair is a third-party repair shop. After repairing your Apple device you may encounter messages caused by Apple's serialization process. You may lose access to features like True Tone, Face ID, Apple Pay, the home button, and others. We can't be held responsible for these — they're triggered by all third-party shops. If you wish to avoid them, please visit an Apple Store.

Computers

We will attempt to back up your data during Clones, Upgrades, and Reinstalls but cannot guarantee retrieval of everything. If you do not provide the password for your PC or Mac, we may have to wipe your password and charge a $25 removal fee.

Phones, Tablets & Smart Devices

For Apple devices, you'll need your iCloud login if we have to reset the device. This is the only way to remove the Anti-Theft feature. When a device is broken or someone else has worked on it, there may be other damages we can't be responsible for.

Smart Watches

We generally do not work on smart watches due to high risk of damage. If we choose to, there's no guarantee of success — sweat can damage them over time and disconnecting the battery may cause a short. By signing below you agree to hold us unaccountable for device damage.

Printers

We usually don't work on the mechanical parts of printers — it's typically more affordable to buy a new one. We do offer printer setup, network installations, and cleaning when needed.
